Don't rush your Muse

Well I hurriedly finished that collage this morning so I could submit it to the Challenge on a yahoo site and I guess my muse was not done. Every time I looked at it, I knew it needed more.

Finally, the muse told me, it needed the black pit around the twisted stomach mass.

So now I think it is done. I feel happier about it now. It feels complete.

By the way the dimensions of this piece are 14 x 11.

Wow, this looks like something Frida Kahlo would have done! I read some of your bio and I love to see someone leave their comfort zone to try something new in their art! Very inspirational!

Thanks so much Gabriella. It was kind of a scary venture, since I have not worked in this style of art before, but I do love collage.
I generally work humor into my art. No humor in this project!

Hi! I had to drop by after your positive words about my my recent AB pages. And I'm glad I have. (Waving hello to Gabriella--I have one of her little abstracts!)

I like this piece. It almost reminds me of a Middle Eastern painting, particularly in color and with the little tongues of flame, and I can see where Gabriella thought of Frida Kahlo--I'm a big fan of Frida's too.

Also, my initial first look brought to mind the image of a tarot card... something like the "Six of Flames"(and some tarot decks have the most wonderful art).

I like this piece. I find it interesting, a bit uncomfortable, and thought provoking. And I like the button!

This piece is AMAZING! So much emotion in it, and I love the style.
