Happy Birthday to my honey!

Yep it is my sweetie's birthday. We actually went to dinner over the weekend to celebrate.
But tonight we took the kids for ice cream at Coldstone Creamery.
YUMMY!
Jim has been working long days. They adjusted his route at work while we were on vacation this fall and now it is overburdened by about 45 min. every day.
He is having some struggles, trying to get it adjusted back. Such is life out in the real world.
Once again, I am lucky to be able to do my work from home.

We ran and picked up a couple of our new chairs that had been back ordered due to damage on the first ones, and we are still short one.
I am now planning a bit of a furniture rearrange because the chairs seem so big compared to our old ones. I am very much looking forward to my new table in February also.

Still working on my red doll, but I am pretty sure I will have her done this week. I think she is awesome.

It sure was windy today, but the winter still hasn't been a bad one here.
I am thankful!

What are you thankful for???

DRUNK with Silliness

Well here I am delirious from no sleep! I was up playing in an altered book till 2 a.m.
Having such fun, trying to get the attention of my family and one poor little girlfriend of my daughters. The book theme for this was (Famous, Notorious or Infamous Zettians in History).

I kept calling them all down to admire my silliness, and they would just roll their eyes at me.
The poor little girl, looked at me sweetly and confused and said,
"why did you make that?"

hehehe ROFL!

I didn't tell her that I was DRUNK with silliness,
but that is what I was thinking!

Finally when I was done I decided to go to bed, but instead of sleeping I lay there designing mermaid bodies in my head! All night long, not a wink of sleep, I must be sick!
I was to the bead store yesterday and made a wonderful purchase of beads for my next beaded doll project! So now I am all excited to begin.

So without further Suspense:

Rebellious

Well I have been having so much fun with this red Goddess Doll.
She is definately a work in progress, but since she is taking time, I thought I would show her off in mid stream. I am pretty much at a stand still, as I need some more red beads for her.
You can't see it ,but she has a wonderful gold jump ring in one of her nipples. hehehe
I couldn't help myself. She really is wonderful and fun.
She will have some great long beaded hair when all is said and done also.

In case you are worried about my mental stability, don't be, I am just having some fun!
Jim is monitoring me closely ; )

Happy Birthday Ben

Well today would have been Ben Franklin's 300th birthday! So lets celebrate!!!

How do I know this you ask? Well I received a Zetti altered book in the mail today. I will be working on it in the near future. The theme is famous or notorious Zettian's of history.
Well when the book arrived TODAY and I looked it over, an idea for a spread about Ben Franklin popped into my Zetti mind. I started to look for a little info on Ben and I discovered today is his birthday.
Yes he was born on Jan. 17th, 1706. How cool is that and it seems it must be fate that I would choose Ben Franklin for my book plans ; )

I am heavily involved in my second art doll and lucky for me I am short on beads so I must take a break from that. Otherwise I might not be able to tear myself away long enough to work on altered books.
I have decided that my new Red doll's name will be "Rebellious". She is everything that the sweet little Frolic wasn't ; )

No time for pictures tonight, but perhaps in the morning, I can share some progress.
But I did think it was important I share with you all, about Ben's birthday today.

Frolic takes Flight

Well Frolic has earned her wings, She came to life as of this morning. I am very pleased with how she turned out. Now to see if I can sell her! I am not even sure how I will go about it. I might try Etsy first, it seems less complicated. I had so much fun with her, now I will begin a red Goddess doll! Thinking I will give her a little bit of a Zetti personality? Not sure?
My cousin and I went to a local bead store today and I gathered some fun beads for the red doll! So I will begin her this week!

On another note, I purchased a new Printer/Scanner combo and installed that today. I hate installing new stuff and learning new programs! But I have already managed to scan an ATC and print some copies, so at least it is working. It will take me a while to learn the whole thing I am sure.

Wednesday Whatever's...

Well Just a quick entry to share a couple fun Doll ATC's. I really had a blast creating these and think they are so funny.
I haven't had much time to think about my cloth doll, but the hair issue is still bothering me. I think it is going to be a challenge, but perhaps when I get into it, I will find it goes easier than I imagined? I really want to get her done this week so will have to decide something soon. I have added most of the beadwork I intend to, it is hard to tell what she will need now without her hair. She just somehow looks naked ; )
I have been looking into Ebay selling and other auction sites.
It is just so nerve racking. Also I wonder about the things I use for my collaging work. You have to be worried about everything. Doesn't seem fair somehow that you can't rip up a magazine and use it for whatever you choose if you don't reprint it???
Go figure!

It's an Art Doll world

Well I have been having so much fun putting together a little doll I have named Frolic.
She is not complete yet but is coming along so nicely with lots of personality.
My biggest issue with her right now, is that I can't really decide what to do about her hair?
I will keep thinking on it, but I want to get her finished this week!
Weekends are so short, Oh I wish I could stretch them out a little bit. I didn't do any housework this weekend and I still didn't get much done. Wondering where the time went.

It will be a busy week, dental appointments tonight and Plasma donation for me.
Tomorrow I have a stamping club to attend. I am excited about this, it is something new for me this year also. It will get me back in touch with some of my old friends from Border Buddies.
The new furnace has had a few issues, but I think it is just bugs getting worked out of it.
I had to have the furnace guy here today because the pilot light had gone out and it was getting COLD in here.
All is toasty warm again ; )

Anyway I wanted to share my little Frolic with you, even though she isn't finished. You see she definitely needs HAIR. I have a nice set of wings for her also, but she must wait till she is complete to sprout her wings.

Time Escapes Me...

Well I am run run running! Not only on the treadmill, but trying to keep up with what I want to do. I am in a doll making frenzy this week, since I put forth the challenge on both my groups.
One is the ATC group and so I have been doing doll ATC's, but on the craft group I want to make a beaded doll and it is giving me a few challenges already. Have been out to Wal-mart twice this week and tonight to Hobby Lobby and Barnes and Noble. I got 3 great magazines that will be helpful in my new endeavors.

Second day on the treadmill so that is a good thing. I lifted a bit of weight yesterday. Gosh my shoulder is not right! Going to have to take action with the doctor at next physical. I really think it is muscular not joint related.

So anyway I wish I had more time to play, so I wouldn't feel like I never get anything done, but Alas, there are only 24 hours in a day.
Here are a couple doll ATC's I had fun with this week!

Never Forget your Dreams!

Well it is a new year and a new opportunity. If you have had dreams of doing something, but never quite make it, this is a chance for a new beginning.

I have vowed to make it a fantastic year and I am proud to say that I got reacquainted with my treadmill this morning ; )
Some of you readers know me, and some don't, but I have made the huge accomplishment of loosing over 100 lb's through good nutrition and exercise. I have kept the weight off for about 3 years now.
Well I should say most of the weight. I have gained a few this last year because I have not been working out the way I was. I had hurt my shoulder and quit lifting, then quit using the treadmill. YIKES! This small weight gain is needing some attention now, I am still hanging at about 100 pounds lost. But I have vowed never to let myself go up a pant size and if I don't act now, I won't be able to squeeze into them much longer.
So I am moving towards one of my dreams again.

Speaking of Dreams I issued an Art Doll challenges on my 2 yahoo groups and now I can't quit dreaming of dolls. I keep getting fun idea's. My cousin and I went shopping to Michaels yesterday and it appears I have got her obsessing over dolls as well. She is on her way already.
I can't wait to see her pretty doll.
I have not gotten started on my cloth doll yet, but I did manage to make 2 ATC dolls this weekend and I am very pleased with them. I have the hardest times parting with my art dolls.
Not sure I can trade these babies away. How in the world do I think I will be able to sell my stuff when I become so darned attached to it ; )
"SELLING" my stuff,
that is going to be the dream I tackle this year! It is a scary prospect, but I can do it!

Presenting my ATC Dolls:
